1. General Conditions

 

  • Weather Conditions: All activities depend on weather conditions, specifically sea conditions. Desportos Náuticos de Alvor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities based on safety considerations.
  • Swimming Ability: Participants who do not know how to swim must inform us before starting any activity.
  • Use of Glasses: The use of glasses in certain activities is prohibited for safety reasons. Only glasses that are specially constructed/designed for nautical sports and/or recreational activities that do not endanger the health of oneself and others in the event of a collision are allowed.
  • Personal Property: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor is not responsible for damage or loss of accessories/personal property, including electronic equipment, during activities, boarding, and disembarking.
  • Influence of Substances: Participants under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other illicit substances will not be permitted to participate in activities. In the case of early booking, no reimbursement will be provided.
  • Pregnant Women: These activities are not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Health Conditions: Participants must disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely participate in the activities. Failure to do so may result in exclusion from the activity without a refund. Some activities are not recommended for individuals with heart problems. Most activities are inadvisable for people with musculoskeletal issues, back problems, fractures, dislocations, sprains, etc.
  • Responsibility: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor is not responsible for any physical, material, or moral damages resulting from non-compliance with the safety rules.
  • Equipment Usage and Responsibility: Participants are responsible for the proper use of equipment and may be held liable for any damage caused by misuse. Non-compliance with the safety rules may result in charges for damages caused.
  • Safety Briefing: All participants must attend a safety briefing before engaging in activities. This briefing covers important safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
  • Force Majeure Clause: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor is not liable for cancellations or changes to activities due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule the activity or offer a full refund.
  • Behavioral Expectations: Participants are expected to adhere to safety guidelines and demonstrate respectful behavior towards staff and other participants. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from the activity without a refund.

2. Jetski Conditions:

 

• Weather Conditions: All jetski rentals depend on weather conditions, particularly sea conditions. Desportos Náuticos de Alvor reserves the right to cancel or reschedule rentals based on safety considerations.

• Swimming Ability: Although lifejackets are mandatory, participants who do not know how to swim must inform us before boarding a jetski.

• Personal Property: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor is not responsible for damage or loss of personal property, including electronic equipment, during jetski activities.

• Influence of Substances: Participants under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other illicit substances will not be permitted to rent jetskis. No reimbursement will be provided for early bookings under such circumstances.

• Health Conditions: Jetski activities are not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with heart problems, or those with musculoskeletal issues, back problems, fractures, dislocations, or sprains.

3. Booking Policy:

 

Booking Confirmation: All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation from Desportos Náuticos de Alvor.

Age Requirement: Participants must meet the minimum age requirement of 16 years for jetski rentals. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Advance Booking: We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time slot. Same-day bookings are subject to availability.

Contact Information: Please ensure your contact details are accurate at the time of booking to facilitate communication regarding any changes or updates.

4. Cancellation Policy

 

• Cancellation by Participants: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled activity are eligible for a full refund.

• Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled activity may result in a partial refund or no refund, depending on the circumstances. Please contact us for further assistance.

• No-Show Policy: Failure to arrive for the scheduled activity without prior notice (no-show) may result in the forfeiture of your booking fees. Fees may apply for rebooking.

5. Refund Policy

 

• Refund Eligibility: Refunds will be processed based on the cancellation policy outlined above. Refunds are generally issued to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

• Exceptional Circumstances: In cases of unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather or safety concerns deemed by Desportos Náuticos de Alvor, a full refund or rescheduling option may be offered.

• Refund Processing: Please allow sufficient time for processing refunds, which may vary depending on your financial institution.

6. Additional Conditions

 

• Arrival Time: Customers should arrive 15 minutes before the booked time in order to get ready. If the customer is running late, a 15-minute grace period is given. After that time, the booking will be rescheduled to the next available slot. If there are no available slots on that day, we will try to reschedule it for another day.

• Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved through mediation or arbitration, as agreed upon by both parties, before pursuing legal action.

• Data Protection: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor is committed to protecting your personal data. We comply with relevant data protection laws and ensure that your information is securely stored and used only for the purposes of facilitating your booking and activities. • Insurance Coverage: Desportos Náuticos de Alvor has insurance that covers any accidents occurring during activities. However, non-compliance with the safety rules may result in the insurance coverage being voided.
